Our story

It all began in 2021, just as the world was learning how to breathe again. After months of uncertainty, two students were ready to close one chapter of their lives and open another: Maria, from Andorra, and Maxime, from Lyon.

Maxime had just returned from a semester in York, England, where he had gone to improve his English. With new ambitions and dreams, he was preparing to pursue a Master’s degree in Finance. Maria, meanwhile, had just completed the final semester of her bachelor’s degree in Madrid and was eager to specialize in Big Data.

And then, God stepped in.

God had a plan, and somehow, that plan led them both to the same place: IESEG Business School, in Lille.

The academic year began, and each immersed themselves in their respective master’s programs. As with every new beginning, a welcome concert was organized. Maria and Maxime, neither of whom ever miss an opportunity to go out, bought tickets immediately.

But once again, God had a plan.

The ticket seller turned out to be a scam. That night, both found themselves disappointed, ticketless, and surrounded by many others in the same situation. Maria went out for a drink with classmates who had shared the same misadventure. Someone invited another group to join them… Maxime’s group. And that is where they met for the very first time.

At first, Maria thought he was a bit showy, while Maxime found her a little loud. As the night went on, and after barely talking all evening, things changed when the group offered to walk the young women safely back to their doors across the city.

It was four in the morning. On that quiet walk home, Maria and Maxime truly began to talk. Time seemed to slow down. The conversation flowed effortlessly, as if time itself had slowed down just for them. No one interrupted. It felt written, guided, meant to be.

The next day, they added each other on social medias. And from that moment on, the conversation never stopped.

They went for drinks, shared picnics under the stars, and began seeing each other more and more, until it became clear: they were no longer just friends. They had fallen in love.

When the Master’s year came to an end, reality set in. Each was meant to return to their home city, and the thought of separation was painful.

But once again, God had a plan.

They both found internships in Paris — and from that moment on, Paris became their home.

Their relationship is a true blessing. Together, they have traveled the world, learned each other’s languages, brought their families together, walked every corner of Paris, and most importantly, learned to love each other more deeply with every passing day.

And through it all, they know it was never by chance.
It was timing.
It was Him.

And this is only the beginning.

One sees clearly only with the heart. Anything essential is invisible to the eyes."
